Adventure, make things, life skills, have fun

Gideon of the Bible called himself 'weak and afraid', and when Joshua was appointed to lead the Israelites into the promised land, he humbled himself. King David confessed his fear... These were the mighty men of old ‒ warriors, adventurers, husbands, fathers, and leaders. Self-reliant, but humble ‒ strong in God.
New Zealanders have a reputation for resilience, innovation, and adventure. Combining these qualities with real life skills, problem solving solid Bible principles, BB engages the boys and young men of our nation with the aim of helping mould them into leaders who are resourceful, confident and Christ-led.

BB New Zealand Object and Values

Growing Christ’s Kingdom in the hearts of boys, BB strives to nurture values in boys that anchor their lives, their families, their churches, and society as a whole:

  • Obedience: The bedrock of service and a healthy, functioning civil society.
  • Reverence: The quality that helps define love of God, love of neighbour and love of self.
  • Discipline: Discipline is the foundation of good habits. It is about positive action over words.
  • Self-respect: The key to confidence, optimism, and strength; self-respect instils caring, healthy relationships and fulfilment.
Confidence, discipline, and self-respect
Why BB?
In a world which does not cater to the needs of boys, where true masculinity is perhaps not given priority, BB understands that boys and young men need movement, they need competition and strong personal relationships and from them arise men who act responsibly, who know how to love and honour, protect and provide for their families, churches and communities.
The world needs strong, confident, and courageous young men who are Christ-led.
